During the residence we also host optional artist presentations, a literature night, Figure Drawings, Open studio, and we encourage communal activities such as sketch walks, figure drawings and other events which may be suitable during the year.
100% of all fees are used for the running of the Artist Residency,
Expansion of the Residency & Sculpture park,
including the rehabilitation of Chateau d'Orquevaux, The art gallery and surrounding properties.
All accepted artists will be awarded
The Denis Diderot Grant
which will be applied towards
partial cost of the residency.

Deposit is 100% refundable up to 9 months prior to your residency. Upon second payment the deposit and payments are all non-refundable. Any short notice cancelations can not be postponed, rescheduled, or refunded. Please buy correct travel insurance in the event of unforeseen circumstances. Deposit and Grant are applied towards payment. All prices are in Euro.
TAX REQUIREMENTS
Chateau d'Orquevaux France is a registered French company and is required to follow all French government laws. Chateau d'Orquevaux is required to collect a 10% VAT tax (Sales tax).
There may also be a tourist/accommodation tax of €1 per night, which is for the benefit of Orquevaux village, and which will be charged at the time of residency.

Emerging Artist GRANT
is available to 4 artists each month that qualify.
After both grants are applied the cost of the residency is

4 week residency actual cost €3,900 (EAR GRANT €1,000)

The Grants will be awarded upon acceptance into the residency and will be applied towards cost of residency once deposit is received.
The payments are processed over 3 installments as follows
Deposit to confirm residency (refundable prior to 2nd payment).
2nd payment 9 months prior to residency.
Final payment 6 months prior to residency.
Tax will be added to each payment at checkout.
In exchange for The Denis Diderot Grant The Artist agrees to contribute
one work to the permanent collection of
Chateau d'Orquevaux. (Not Mandatory)
