RESIDENCE | STUDIOS
There are eight to ten bedrooms being used at Chateau d'Orquevaux for the Artist Residency.
There are 2 Gatehouses on the property that will soon be used during residencies.
There are 4 Guesthouses in Orquevaux Village that may be used during residency. Orquevaux village is a tiny village (population approximately 75) which is just outside the Main Gate.
Each Artist has their own private room and closet. Your room will have a safe to lock valuables.
Rooms are for artists only. We can not accommodate overnight visitors. This is to protect the overall quality of each artist's experience.
There are three full baths for guests. The bathrooms are semi-private and shared.
Towels and linens are provided.
Housekeeping is also provided.
There are two separate laundry facilities available.
Common areas in chateau include Salons, Dining room and Kitchen.
The stables and Chateau house the artist studios.
The Chateau and all bedrooms have WiFi.
There will be an orientation of the entire property at the start of the residency.

The Chateau or main house provides 8 private bedrooms and 4 staff bedrooms. There are shared living spaces, shared kitchen, 3 laundry rooms and 4 full baths. Full amenities include housekeeping with linens and towels provided. The main house also includes 10 studios. The Chateau has WiFi and is a short walk down the drive to Orquevaux village and the stable studio areas.
The Main Gatehouse is available to artists at certain times. The Gatehouse is an independent structure that includes a double occupancy (perfect for a couple) with a private full bath, half bath and private kitchen. Self- catering with private laundry and living areas. The house includes linens and towels. The guest house has full WiFi and is in close proximity to artist studios in the stables.
The Stable Studios are located on the 3rd floor of chateau and the stables. and provide large ample space for artists to create indoors with plenty of storage for supplies. Studio spaces in the stable also open out onto the stable courtyard and open vistas. The entire property is available for artists to set up plein air "studios" with a plethora of choices from hilltop views of the village, cathedral, petite castle, open meadows and fields and areas around the lake and boathouse. There is no limit for inspiration on the property and artist studios of Chateau d'Orqueveaux.

La Petite Maison de Jardin is a 2 bedroom house located in Orquevaux village. The Guesthouse which was built in the late 1800's is equipped with WiFi and laundry room, the house is a couple of hundred feet outside the main entrance and is used by the Artists-in-Residence that may have different needs such as family, pets or reasons to be determined. The Guesthouse is also used during times when the residency is at capacity and an artist prefers to not be wait listed. The guesthouse can be requested and its use is determined on a case by case basis.
The Hill House is a 3 bedroom house located in Orquevaux village. The Guesthouse which was built in the late 1800's is equipped with WiFi and laundry area, the house is a couple of hundred feet outside the main entrance and is used by the Artists-in-Residence that may have different needs such as family, pets or reasons to be determined. The Guesthouse is also used during times when the residency is at capacity and an artist prefers to not be wait listed. The guesthouse can be requested and its use is determined on a case by case basis.
Staff House | La Maison du jardinier is a charming, private 1 bedroom house with WiFi and all the amenities for a single artist or a couple. The Guesthouse is located in Orquevaux village and was built in the mid 1800's. The Guesthouse is a very short walk from the Main entrance of the chateau and is next to La Maison de 1846.

The Chateau Guesthouse was built in 1846 and is equipped with WiFi and laundry room, the house is a couple of hundred feet outside the main entrance and (will be) used for artists-in-residence during the season. It also may be occupied by artists that may have specific needs. The Guesthouse (will be) also used during times when the residency is at capacity and an artist prefers to not be wait listed. The guesthouse can be requested and its use is determined on a case by case basis.
