Refund policy / Legal:Deposit due within 14 days of acceptance in order to secure your residency dates.Please keep in mind that we schedule on a first come first served basis. In the event that your offered dates are full by the time we receive your deposit, we will assist you to find suitable alternative dates.All grants can only be applied towards cost of residency.Deposit and other payments are Non-refundable.In the event that offered residency is full and alternative dates are not suitable,  the Deposit is refundable. In the event that you need to cancel prior to 2nd payment the Deposit can only be applied to a future residency.Once 2nd Payment is submitted no changes can be made to scheduled date.2nd Payment is due 9 months prior to your Residency. Unless otherwise specified.Final Payment is due 6 months prior to your residency. Unless otherwise specified.Refund policy is available on the pricing page of our website.In the event that the artist initiates a last minute cancellation, the artist is placed on a last minute email list which is sent out when other cancellations occur.  The artist can attend at no extra cost at a future time.Travelers insurance is highly recommended for you protection due to our non-refundable policy. Any short notice cancellations can not be postponed, rescheduled, or refunded. DONATIONS and PATREON are nonrefundable. We are unable to refund any VAT (Sales tax) or CC feesalready applied to processed payments.

Depending on the timeframe to your residency we will do the best we can to accommodate you. Please contact us as soon as possible.If we have ample time to find another artist to schedule, we can reschedule you one time. In the event of short notice we can only reschedule you if we find another artist to replace you. Otherwise, you will need to reapply.

To receive The Denis Diderot Grant and/or The Emerging Artist Grant, we ask that you join our "Artists Supporting Artists" Patreon account for a minimum of 13 months (€10 / €12 a month). This is a way to become a part of our growing community of artists that help to pay it forward. This initiative creates opportunities for other artists like yourself to attend the residency.From 2017-2026 we have been able to award attending artists in combined grants and donations €4,349,000!https://www.patreon.com/ChateauOrquevaux/membership

If you received The Denis Diderot Grant and/or The Emerging Artist Grant, the grants still apply if you need to switch dates.

If you purchase any art supplies from the art store, there is a cost. We have a wine cellar where you can purchase wine every day ranging from €10-€22. We also have a selection of snacks!

Yes, your deposit and any payments made will transfer to your new residency date. Please note there may be a price adjustment.
